Learned counsel refers to the reasons seeking extension of time to deposit amount pursuant to order dated 30-11-2017 passed in civil application No. 14382 of 2017 in first appeal stamp no. 36814 of 2017 and other companion matters. 2.

Mr. Soman learned counsel appearing for respondents resists the application and draws attention to that acquisition is of 1990 and the claimants, who are protected tenants have been considered entitled only to the extent of 60% of the compensation amount. He submits, bypassing them enhanced compensation may not be paid. He expresses concern and requests to expedite the appeal.

However, in the larger interest of the parties, it would be expedient that the period for making deposit pursuant to order dated 30-11-2017 be extended by twelve weeks. As such, period for making deposit pursuant to order dated 30-11-2017 is extended by twelve weeks from today.

Put up the matter for appropriate orders after twelve weeks.
