ORAL ORDER :

The petitioners are praying for issuance of directions to respondents to consider the proposal tendered by the respondent No.4 District Collector, Latur and forwarded by respondent No.3 Divisional Commissioner, Aurangabad Division, Aurangabad for conversion of Village Panchayat, Murud into

Nagar Panchayat, Murud.

The learned A.G.P. appearing for the State has placed on record communication issued by the Urban Development Department, Government of Maharashtra, on 5.12.2015, wherein it has been recorded that a proposal to issue draft notification for constituting Murud Municipal Council instead of Murud Nagar Panchayat is being submitted for approval to the competent authority and is under active consideration of the Government. The copy of communication dated 5/12/2015 is taken on record and marked "X" for identification.

Since the State Government has already taken steps for establishing Municipal Council at Murud, the grievance raised by the petitioner in the instant petition stands redressed. Writ Petition is disposed of.
