1] The possession of the land is taken in the year 1988. The compensation amount is not paid.

2] It appears that Notification under Section 11 of the Act was passed on 28.02.2020. Thereafter notice under Section 21 (1) (4) was issued on 01.10.2021. It is for the respondents to proceed further to pass Award under the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, otherwise it would meet consequences as enlisted in Act of 2013.

2989.22WP 3] In case within stipulated period as required under the provisions of Act of 2013, the Award is not passed from the date of issuance of the notification and declaration, the petitioners are entitled to take appropriate steps in that regard. In that event, all contentions are kept open.

4] Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
