{1} 926 - WP 2335 of 2018
IN THE HIGH COURT OF JUDICATURE AT BOMBAY
BENCH AT AURANGABAD 926 WRIT PETITION NO. 2335 OF 2018 VIJAYKUMAR ANANDRAO MUNDE
VERSUS
THE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA AND OTHERS ...
Advocate for Petitioner : Mr.Shrimant R.Kedar AGP for Respondent/State : Mr.P.V.Diggikar Advocate for Respondent No.2 : Ms.Surekha Mahajan ...
CORAM : R.M.BORDE AND K.K.SONAWANE, JJ.
DATE:
27th February, 2018 P.C.:- 1) The petitioner is Head-Master of the School and it is claimed that the students taking education in the school have approached him to present writ petition seeking change in examination center.
2) Belated request made by the petitioner does not deserve to be considered for the reason that practical examinations of the students are already completed and the written examinations will start from 1.3.2018.
{2} 926 - WP 2335 of 2018 3) The learned counsel appearing for the respondent Board states on instructions that necessary arrangements for conducting written examinations are already completed and it would be difficult at this stage to make arrangements at the changed place. Apart from this aspect, the center requested by the petitioner namely village Sarni is at equal distance from Kaij, where the respondent Board proposes to hold written examinations of the students. It also needs to be noted that Kaij is Taluka place and has better connectivity with the villages in that Taluka. Taluka place is accessible by the State Highway and is well connected with nearby villages. Infact, it would be more convenient for the students to approach the Taluka place than to proceed to another village by travelling distance through village road.
4) It is also contended on behalf of the respondents that in order to prevent malpractices
{3} 926 - WP 2335 of 2018 at examination centers, certain measures are taken by the Board and transfer of a particular center is one of such measures.
5) In aforesaid circumstances, no interference is called for. Petition is devoid of substance, hence dismissed.
