The petitioner is a contractual ambulance driver seeking a benefit similar to the one granted to several such contractual ambulance drivers engaged by various Zilla Parishads through contractors, seeking minimum of the pay scale which is being paid to the regular ambulance drivers on the permanent establishment. The petitioner has annexed a copy of one such order in the matter of Akram Harun Shaikh & Ors. V/s. The State of Maharashtra in Writ Petition No.16763/2024 decided on 22.11.2024.

For the same reasons recorded in the matter of Akram Harun Shaikh (supra), the writ petition is allowed. The respondents are directed to pay to the petitioner lowest in the pay scale payable to the ambulance driver on the regular establishment from the date of the petition. [Y.G.
