By this application, the PIL petitioners seek leave to amend the petition in the light of the subsequent events. Paragraphs 18A to 18L, grounds VIII to XXIII and prayer clauses AA, AAA, BB, BBB and CC, are the proposed amendments.

The learned advocates for the respondents oppose. 3.

Considering that subsequent events are sought to be brought on record by amendments and as it prima-facie appears that the proposed amendment may deserve consideration while dealing with the PIL, that the civil application is allowed. The amendments shall be

1 CA.2336.2023.odt carried out within 1 week, considering the urgency expressed by the petitioners. So also, a freshly typed amended copy of the petition shall be placed on record and supplied to the learned advocates appearing for the respondents.
