Para 2 of the affidavit filed by the District Collector, Aurangabad, reads thus :

I say and submit that a Joint Inquiry Committee headed by the Sub Division Officer, Kannad along with Tahsildar Kannad and the Sub-Divisional Engineer, Sub-Division Kannad can be directed to conduct the inquiry in respect of the works done by the concerned GRAMSEVAK AND SARPANCH which are subject of consideration in the present petition."

In view of the above, the Respondents shall take further steps as contemplated in para 2 of the affidavit filed today. The steps shall be taken as expeditiously as possible.

With this observation, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
