The contention of the petitioners is that the award is passed by the Reference Court. The petitioners have filed execution proceedings. Warrants are issued in the said execution proceedings. The respondents have assured to deposit the amount within seven days, however, the compensation amount is not paid to the petitioners as yet.

Considering the fact that the lands acquired are of the agriculturists and since long period they are not getting the fruits of the award passed in their favour and in the execution proceedings all steps are taken and assurance was given by the respondents to deposit the amount, we pass the following order. 3.

In case the award passed by the reference court and

2 wp 5761.21 judgment of this Court in first appeal is still in force, then the amount of compensation shall be paid to the petitioners in tune with the judgment and order passed by this Court in First Appeal No. 2037 of 2015, expeditiously and preferably within a period of six (06) months from today.

In the light of the above, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
