ORDER :

Mr. Kulkarni, learned counsel for the Petitioners submits that the Petitioners have applied to the concerned Sub Divisional Officer for grant of tribe certificates as belonging to Koli Mahadeo, Scheduled Tribe. The application is made in the month of December 2015. Under the Maharashtra Scheduled Tribes (Regulation of Issuance and Verification of) Certificate Rules, 2003, the said application is to be decided within 45 days. Petitioner No.2 intends to take admission in Navodaya Vidyalaya and for the said purpose the tribe certificate is required.

The learned A.G.P. submits that in case the said application is pending, Respondent No.2 would decide the same on its own merits.

In case the Application filed by the Petitioners for grant of tribe certificates is
pending with Respondent No.2, the Respondent No.2 shall decide the same on its own merits, in accordance with law, expeditiously, preferably by 30th April 2016.

Writ Petition accordingly disposed of. No costs.
