Heard the learned counsel for respective parties.

Mr. C.T. Jadhav, learned counsel for the respondent/farmers/ complainants in all the matters has placed on record affidavit in reply and submits that it may be treated as affidavit in reply in all the matters. Affidavit in reply is taken on record.

Mr. V.D. Hon, learned Senior Counsel for the petitioners submits that since the appeals are pending before Divisional Joint Registrar and listed for final hearing between 27.2.2023 to 17.3.2023, status-quo as on today be maintained with respect to possession.

C.T.
Jadhav, learned counsel appearing for respondent/farmers/complainant agrees for the status-quo order till disposal of the appeal before the Divisional Registrar. However he further submits that the status-quo order in these matters are operating for long period of time and in the event, respondents/farmers/complainants would succeed in the matter, it should not be treated as status-quo order was operating during the pendency of appeal on merits, but it was granted by way of concession.

In view of the submissions made above, purpose of the petitions would be served if the authority is directed to decide the pending appeals expeditiously. It is directed that the appeals pending before the Divisional Joint Registrar are decided as expeditiously as possible and endeavour be made to decide the appeals within four weeks of the date of listing for final hearing as mentioned above and the status-quo as on today be maintained till the decision in appeals pending before the Divisional Joint Registrar. Status-quo is granted by way of concession made by the learned advocate for the complainant and it should not be construed that it was granted on merits.

The Divisional Joint Registrar to decide the appeals on its own merits without being influenced by any part of this order. 7.
Writ petitions are disposed of.
