This is a petition for habeas corpus.

The petitioner, who claims to be the husband of victim, was alleging that she has been wrongfully confined by her parents. 3.

Pursuant to the directions of the Court, the victim has been brought to us by Mr. K.K. Shaikh, Police Sub Inspector, Ambejogai City police station, District Beed.

Since the victim is major and taking into account the averments in the petition, we interacted with her by taking her in confidence in the chambers. She admits to have made a statement before the police and identifies her signature therein. She also expressly states that she has been staying with her parents of her free will. There is no coercion. 5.

Since the purpose of the petition is served, it is disposed of expressly informing the victim that being an adult lady, she is free to go as per her wish.
