Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners. 2.

The challenge in this petition is to an order dated 18th January, 2021 passed by the appellate authority and the Regional Deputy Commissioner, Social Justice Department, Latur, whereby, the appellate authority was persuaded to condone the delay in preferring the appeal No. 6 of 2020, by respondent No. 3, whose services were terminated by the petitioner No.1.

The appellate authority was persuaded to take a liberal view of the matter and condone the delay so as to advance the cause of substantive justice.

In the aforesaid backdrop, after arguing for sometime, the learned counsel for the petitioners seeks leave to withdraw the petition, provided the hearing of the appeal before the appellate authority is expedited.

Since it is the claim of respondent No. 3 employee, that her services were terminated by verbal order on 7th November, 2017, an expeditious decision on the appeal preferred by respondent No. 3 would also be in the interest of respondent No. 3. Thus, the prayer for expeditious hearing and disposal of the appeal seems reasonable. 6.

In view of the above, the petition stands dismissed as withdrawn, with request to the appellate authority to hear and decide the appeal bearing appeal No. 6 of 2020, in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and, preferably, within a period of six months. 7.

All the parties, including the petitioners, shall co-operate with the appellate authority in expeditious hearing and disposal of the appeal and shall not seek adjournment.
