CORAM : S. S. SHINDE & SANGITRAO S. PATIL, JJ DATE : 11th JULY, 2016 ORAL ORDER :

The petitioners have filed civil application with certain documents including certificate issued by the District Commandant, Home Guard, Ahmednagar (Exhibit-C2 Page 12).

2.

Learned Counsel appearing for the

-2petitioners submits that pursuant to the directions issued by this Court on 04/03/2016, the respondentauthority, after verifying the record, issued aforementioned certificate. Therefore, he submits that the purpose of filing of this petition is served, however, due to pendency of this petition, no further steps are being taken, though petitioner Nos. 1 to 4 are selected. He fairly submits that petitioner No. 5 is not selected though the certificate was issued.

3.

Upon hearing learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners and learned A.G.P. for State, the civil application is allowed and same stand disposed of.

4.

The documents placed along with the civil application are being read in continuation to annexures in Writ Petition No. 2334 of 2016.

5.

It appears that the petitioners, by way of filing this petition, sought directions to the

-3respondent-authorities to verify the record maintained by its office and issue working certificate of three years so as to avail benefit available to the candidates, who have served as Home-Guard for three years.

6.

Upon perusal of the certificates placed on record, it appears that the said certificates have been issued by the authority after verifying the office record. In that view of the matter, in view of issuance of such certificates in favour of the petitioners, nothing further survives for consideration in this petition. Therefore, the petition stands disposed of.

7.

Needless to observe that since the certificates are issued by respondent No.4, respondent No. 4 to take expeditious steps to verify the said certificates, as expeditiously as possible, however on or before 14/07/2016, since according to learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners, the Government has stipulated date for

-4issuance of appointment letters in favour of the selected candidates as 15/07/2016.

8.

The petition and civil application stand disposed of.

Parties to act upon authenticated copy of this order.
