After having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the Court expressed disinclination to even issue notice to the respondent.

The order under challenge is of grant of interim maintenance to wife and two minor children. In view of the same, the learned Judge of the Family Court is requested to decide the proceedings at the earliest and preferably within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of copy of this order. It is specifically made clear that the petitioner is bound to pay the amount of interim maintenance directed to be paid by the Family Court.

If the petitioner deposits half of the amount due towards arrears with the Family Court, the Court concerned shall not insist for recovery of the balance amount until the application is decided on merits within given time frame. 4.

With the above directions, the Criminal Writ Petition stands disposed of.
