By order dated 14.07.2017, this Court directed that an inquiry be conducted. The Deputy Inspector General of Police who was present before the Court on the earlier date, gave an undertaking that the inquiry would be concluded expeditiously and before 30.09.2017. The Public Interest Litigation No.96/2015 in which this order was passed, was disposed off.

The learned Advocate for the petitioner fairly submits that the inquiry is now concluded. Certain charges are held to be proved against the delinquent. He intends to move a separate proceeding in the event the follow up action is not

In view of the above, this Contempt Petition is disposed off.
