The petitioners are accused in two cases. Both these cases were filed against each other. Certain incident took place on 02/01/2016, about which complaint was lodged on the same day. The other incident took place on 08/01/2016 about which complaint was lodged immediately.

2.

The parties have now settled the dispute. They are residents of one village and in order to keep peace, we also allow the parties to settle the dispute between them mutually. The offences alleged against each other are exaggerated probably to make them look as if they are not compoundable and not bailable, etc. On perusal of the complaints, we are of the view that these complaints are only in respect of the offences u/ss 323,324,etc. of the Indian Penal Code. Such cases are essentially compoundable and we allow the compounding of the cases. We are inclined to set aside the crime registered against the parties, however for making exaggerated complaints against each other, the parties shall pay ` 10,000/- [Rupees Ten Thousand] each to the High Court Legal Services Sub Committee within one week from today.
