Petitioner claims to be belonging to Mannervarlu, Scheduled Tribe. Petitioner has been admitted to the medical course as against the seat earmarked for Scheduled Tribe category. The tribe certificate issued in favour of petitioner has been referred to the Scrutiny Committee for verification on 29.06.2013. Inspite of issuance of directions by this Court to the Scrutiny Committee to take decision in respect of validation proposal within a period of one year from the date of the order i.e. 19.09.2014, no decision has yet been taken by the Scrutiny Committee. 2.

Learned counsel for Scrutiny Committee states on instructions that the decision would be rendered in the matter within a period of four months from today and time may be extended accordingly. Statement made is accepted and the Scrutiny Committee is directed to take decision in respect

wp2436.16.doc of validation claim pertaining to petitioner as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from today. 3.

Petitioner has an apprehension that as a result of failure to submit validation certificate, she may not be permitted to appear for the examination. Respondent no. 3 - University is directed to accept examination form of petitioner and permit her to appear for the examination and declare her result. Petitioner shall be permitted to prosecute further studies subject to the decision in respect of validation claim pending with the Scrutiny Committee.
