The grievance raised by the petitioner in this Petition is that, the petitioner filed application with the District Collector on 19th March, 1990 regarding his claim for extending him benefits of Freedom Fighters Pension Scheme, however, it appears that, this Petition is filed in the year 2012. Therefore, it may not be possible for this Court to issue mandatory directions to the District Collector to adjudicate the said application, which has been filed on 19th March, 1990.

In that view of the matter, we grant liberty to

8759.15WP the petitioner or his L.Rs. to approach the District Collector with the copy of the aforesaid application dated 19th March, 1990 along with relevant documents within four weeks from today. In case, the petitioner or his L.Rs. approaches the District Collector, the District Collector to look into the said application and also the documents and take appropriate decision, if already decision is not taken on the application dated 19th March, 1990, as expeditiously as possible, and preferably within three months from receiving such copy of the application.

The Petition stands disposed of in above terms. 6.

The parties to act upon an authenticated copy of this order.
