Undisputedly the petitioners are owners of a property which they rented out under a leave and license agreement to an entity who operated a hotel in the said premises. The tenants defaulted an amount of Rs.16,34,470/- towards electricity bills to be paid to the respondent company. Respondent company has preferred a Special Civil Suit No. 30 of 2019 against the tenants and the same is pending adjudication. The petitioners who are owners of the property are seeking electricity supply, knowing fully well that the tenants have defaulted payments by consumption of electricity from the same electricity connection which stands in the name of the owners. 2.

After we expressed our disinclination, the learned Advocate for the petitioners submits that the petitioners would avail of a statutory remedy as may be provided in law and this petition be disposed off.

In view of above, the petition is disposed off. Needless to state, if there are any legal remedy permissible in law, the petitioners may avail of the same.
