The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed an application seeking rental compensation before respondent No.2 and the same is not yet decided. 2.

In case the petitioner has filed the application for rental compensation and if the same is pending with respondent No.2, then respondent No.2 shall decide it, on its own merits, after hearing the petitioner, expeditiously and, preferably, within a period of one year.

The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
