1] Heard learned counsel appearing for the parties. 2] The execution of the impugned awards in all these matters is stayed subject to the applicant /

- 5 - appellant depositing the entire awarded amount together with interest in this Court within a period of eight weeks from today. In case of failure to deposit this amount, the stay to stand vacated without any further reference to this Court. The respondents - claimants shall then be at liberty to take out execution applications for execution of the impugned awards. 3] It is made clear that once execution applications are filed, it will not be open to the applicant / appellant to renew its application for stay. This is observed because in the connected matter, which was admitted on 31.1.2014 and similar interim relief was obtained subject to deposit of the compensation amount within ten weeks, it is reported that no such deposit has been made. The awards in the present case were made in the year 2011 and till date, it appears, no enhanced compensation has been paid to the respondents - claimants. Though the applicant / appellant is entitled to question the enhanced compensation, the execution cannot be delayed or derailed by adoption of such a modus operandi.

4] If and when the amount of compensation is

- 6 - deposited in this Court, the respondents - claimants are permitted to withdraw 50% of the compensation amount by filing an undertaking that such withdrawal shall abide by final orders in the concerned appeals.
