The petitioner claims to have worked in the difficult areas and is seeking benefit of one step pay scale in the light of government resolution dated 06.08.2002.

The parties are unanimous that similar matters have been considered by this Court and directions have been issued suitably for examining each case on its own merits and in accordance with the pronounced policies of the State Government.

The writ petition is allowed.

Respondent No.5-Chief Executive Officer, Zilla Parishad, Nandurbar shall undertake scrutiny of the petitioner's claim on its own merits within eight (08) weeks and if he is found to be entitled to have benefit of one step pay scale, as is granted to several others, the benefit shall be extended to the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible and in any case within six (06) months.
