The applicant has been convicted for the offences punishable under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code and under Section 7 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for four years and to pay fine of Rs.15,000/-, in default to suffer further rigorous imprisonment for three months. He has further been convicted for the offences punishable under Sections 354-A, 452 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for two years, two years and simple imprisonment for one year respectively and to pay fine of Rs.5,000/-, Rs.5,000/- and Rs.1,000/- 1 / 2

The amount of fine has been deposited. The Trial Court has suspended the substantive sentence of imprisonment until filing of the appeal. Considering the quantum of sentence imposed and the fact that the appeal is not likely to be heard in near future, the execution of substantive sentence of imprisonment to stand suspended pending the appeal. The applicant be released on his executing P.R. bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand) with surety in the like amount. 4.

Criminal application stands disposed of.
