According to the petitioners, an appeal tendered to the Collector in the year 2013, is pending for consideration. In the instant petition, the petitioners are raising objection to the assessment of the taxes treating the property to be agricultural one. The petitioners content that, their property shall be considered as nonagricultural property and the assessment be levied accordingly.

It would be open for the petitioners to tender an additional representation/ appeal to the Collector. If the petitioners tender appropriate representation/ appeal, the Collector shall consider the same in accordance with the provisions of law together with the appeal/ applications already presented on 1st March 2013, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from today and it is accordingly directed. Writ Petition stands disposed of.
