PER COURT :- This petition can be disposed of in terms of affidavit in reply presented on behalf of the State Government, wherein, it has been admitted that, there existed Teakwood trees in the land which was under acquisition. It is stated in the affidavit in reply that, the amount of compensation would be determined after receipt of report from the Forest Department and same would be paid.

Respondent shall ensure receipt of report and after observing the procedure determine the amount of compensation payable to the petitioner, in respect of acquired trees and on such determination, the amount shall be paid to the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of six months from today.
