The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the name of the mother was incorrectly recorded in the school record and the same mistake has been carried further in the marksheet of the 10th and 12th standard, so also the S.S.C. and H.S.C. certificate issued by the board. The Deputy Director of Education has issued directions to correct the name of the mother in the school record and the proposal is also forwarded to the Secondary School Board. The

2 wp 3376.20 Secondary School Board is not taking the necessary corrective steps.

The learned A.G.P. accepts notice for respondent no. 1. The learned counsel appears for respondent no. 2.

The proposal is also forwarded to the board by the Headmaster of the school. Respondent no. 2 shall take decision on the said proposal considering the order passed by the Deputy Director of Education preferably within one (01) month.

Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
