The learned counsel submits that validation proceedings in respect of caste claim of the petitioner is pending, however, the Respondent No.2 University is not declaring the result on the ground that validity is not yet submitted.

Learned Additional Government Pleader accepts notice for Respondent No.1 and Mr.Bolkar, learned counsel accepts notice for Respondent No.2.

Considering the fact that the validation proceedings are pending, we pass the following order :
a) The Respondent No.1 shall decide the validation proceedings in respect of the caste claim of the petitioner expeditiously, preferably within eight (8) months. The petitioner shall cooperate in expeditious disposal of the said proceedings. The petitioner shall appear before the Committee on 29.3.2017. The Respondent No.2 shall not withhold the result of the petitioner's examination and shall not refrain the petitioner from prosecuting further studies only on the ground that validation proceedings are pending. Of-course, the Respondent No.2 can take further course of action depending on the judgment that would be passed in the validation proceedings.
b) The Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
