The petitioners are the opponents / respondents in a proceeding preferred under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, by the respondent and her two kids seeking various reliefs.

The petitioners are seeking a direction to the trial Court to expedite the hearing in the light of the stipulation regarding the time within which the applications are supposed to be decided under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005. 4.

On our query, the learned Advocate for the petitioners informs us that no application or request was fled or made with the trial Court seeking expeditious disposal of the matter.

We dispose of the petition by granting liberty to the petitioners to approach the trial Court for expeditious decision in the light of the provisions of Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.
