By this petition, the petitioners have putforth prayer Clauses (A) and (B), which read as under :

"(A) The Hon'ble High Court may be pleased to issue writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or directions of like nature against the Respondent No. 3 i.e. The Maharashtra Electricity Transmission Company Ltd. To pay the compensation to the present petitioners as determined by order 14.02.2020 passed by the Sub Divisional Officer, Bhokardan along with 18% interest on the said amount from the date of order dated 14.02.2020 till the date of realization. (B) Pending hearing and final disposal of the present Writ Petition the Hon'ble High Court may be please to direct the respondent No. 3 i.e. The Maharashtra Electricity Transmission Company Ltd. to deposit a total compensation of Rs. 15,92,960/- as detailed in paragraph no. 6 of the present writ petition in this Hon'ble Court along with interest at the rate of 18% from 14.02.2020."

The learned Advocate representing respondent No. 3 Company submits that the impugned communication dated 14.02.2020 placed on record at page No.40, contains the list of beneficiaries. Respondent No. 3 makes a statement that the petitioner Nos. 1, 2 and 4 have been paid their crop compensation, as well as the compensation for the corridor (the land below the High Tension Power Line) and the portion of land below the Tower. Petitioner No. 3 would be paid her amount, on or before 30th July, 2022. 3.

He then places on record, a chart which contains the names of these petitioners and the cheque numbers, along with the dates and amounts, which have been given to them. The same is marked as "X" for identification.

The learned Advocate for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are aware that if they are not satisfied with the quantum of the compensation, and if there is any remedy in law, they will avail of the said remedy.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off. 6.

Petitioner No. 3 shall be paid her compensation amount on or before 30th July, 2022.

Needless to state, if these petitioners are not satisfied with the quantum of the compensation, they are at liberty to avail of a statutory remedy as is permissible in law.
