The petitioner contends that he has already tendered an appeal to the State Government challenging the order of disqualification issued under Section 44(4) of the Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats and Industrial Townships Act, 1965, and the appeal is stated to be pending.

The ends of justice would be met in directing the State Government (Respondents No.1 and 2) to take decision on the appeal tendered by the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of three months from today; and it is accordingly directed. In the event of occurrence of any other cause, liberty to approach this Court.

With the aforesaid directions, writ petition stands disposed of.
