Learned counsel for the petitioners, on instructions, states that the petitioners had been paid the amount as per the award under section 28A of the Land Acquisition Act by the Acquiring Body. However, the interest from the date of award till the date of payment has not been paid. The learned counsel for the Acquiring Body submits that the writ petition is filed challenging the award passed under Section 28A of the Land Acquisition Act.

It appears that the amount has been paid by the Acquiring Body to the petitioner. In case there is shortfall of interest amount, the petitioner may approach the acquiring body. The acquiring body shall 1/2

47.odt consider the same and act accordingly, expeditiously, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of representation.

Writ petition disposed of. No costs.
