The petitioner is seeking correction of the school record. A proposal forwarded by the respondent/Head Master has been turned down by the Education Officer (Secondary) by the impugned communication (Exhibit - G) on the sole ground that he has passed out the school.

The Full Bench of this Court in the matter of Janabai D/o Himmatrao Thakur Vs. The State of Maharashtra and another reported in 2019(6) Mh.L.J. 769 has elaborately discussed the law and leaving of the school by the pupil cannot be held to be

Without expressing anything on merits, we dispose of the writ petition by directing the respondent No. 3/Education Officer (Secondary) to reconsider the proposal on its own merits and in the light of the observations of this Court in the matter of Janabai D/o Himmatrao Thakur Vs.
