Heard learned Advocates for the parties. These appeals arise out of a common judgment dated 10.09.2008 passed by the learned Civil Judge, Senior Division, Nilanga in respective land acquisition references filed by the claimants. The land of the claimants came to be acquired for percolation tank, from village Dhangarwadi, Tal. Shirur Anantpal, Dist. Latur. Notification under section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act was issued on 01.03.2001. The award came to be passed on 23.01.2002. The rate granted by the learned Special Land Acquisition Officer was Rs. 58000/- per hectare, which comes to Rs. 580/- per R. In the references the learned Reference Court enhanced the rate to Rs. 1322/- per R for irrigated land and Rs. 661/- for non-irrigated land. The amount of enhancement is within four times the compensation granted by the learned SLAO.

In view of Government Resolution No.
Sankirna-2014/pra.kra.4/Bham-1/A-4 dated 03.11.2016 with Government Corrigendum dated 23.02.2017 and 13.08.2018 , the Government has taken decision not to prefer appeal wherein the amount of compensation in Land Acquisition References is less than four times of the amount of compensation awarded by the learned SLAO. Where such
( 3 ) appeals are preferred by the Government, those are to be placed before the Lokadalat and to be disposed off.

This Court finds that in view of such position, no purpose would be served by keeping the appeals pending. The appeals are, therefore, dismissed and disposed off with no order as to costs. Pending civil applications also stand disposed off.
