This is the Appeal by the State against the Judgment and Award dated 02.08.2014 passed by the learned 2nd Jt. Civil Judge, Senior Division, Aurangabad in LAR No.425/2010.

It is submitted by the learned AGP appearing for the Appellant / State that the amount of enhanced compensation awarded by the learned Reference Court is within four (4) times of the amount awarded by the Spl. Land Acquisition Officer (in short, 'Spl. LAO'). He submits that the Government of Maharashtra had taken policy decision not to challenge the Judgments and Awards, if the enhanced compensation is within four (4) times of compensation awarded by the Spl. L.A.O. and the Government Resolution (in short, 'G.R.') dated 03.11.2016 and its Corrigendum dated 23.02.2017 are issued by the Government of Maharashtra in that regard. He submits that, the number of Appeals are disposed off in the light of the said G.R's. He submits that this Appeal can also be disposed off in view of the said G.R's.

This Court has disposed off the Appeals which were covered by the aforesaid G.R's. Some of the Appeals disposed off in the light of the said G.R's. are First Appeal Nos.861 & 862 of 2017, by order dated 19.03.2025. Thus, this Appeal stands disposed off in the light of the aforesaid GR dated 03.11.2016 and Corrigendum to the said GR dated 23.02.2017.
