The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had retired on attaining the age of superannuation on 31st July, 2014. The petitioner was directed to pay an amount of Rs.6,72,245/-. The petitioner approached the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal, Mumbai, bench at Aurangabad by filing Original Application No.614 of 2014. The original application is allowed by the Tribunal and the notice, demanding payment of Rs.6,72,245/- from the petitioner, is quashed and set aside. The learned Counsel submits that the proposal seeking disbursement of the retiral benefits is

wp3501-2017 still pending before respondent No.1. No decision is taken thereon as yet.

The learned A.G.P. accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

It appears that the petitioner has submitted a representations seeking retiral benefits on 3rd June, 2016 and 22nd August, 2016. The Desk Officer has also intimated respondent No.3 to give the details. The said letter is issued on 30th September, 2016.

The respondents shall take decision on the representations of the petitioner, seeking retiral benefits, expeditiously, preferably within six months. With these directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
