The petitioner has sought a direction to respodnent No.2 to initiate appropriate steps so as to post the petitioner with any Zilla Parishad in the State of Maharashtra since he has passed the CET and has secured qualifying 138 marks. So also, under the orders of this Court, a Committee was constituted to assess the marks scored by 3139 candidates and in such assessment, he had scored 140 marks. Though the petitioner has scored below the cut off marks for NT (D) category 143 marks, the petitioner is entitled for the benefit of horizontal reservation.

The learned AGP places on record a communication received by him dated 12.07.2021 from the Director of Education (Primary Education Directorate) Maharashtra State, Pune respondent No.2 herein, vide which, the AGP informs that considering the horizontal reservation, out of the 3139 candidates, 14 candidates have been held to be eligible for posting as '
Shikshan Sevak' and one of them is the petitioner Mr. Kalyan Prabhu Shep. Copy of the said communication is taken on record and marked as "X-1" for identification. 3.
The learned advocate for the petitioner submits that as the respondents have initiated the process for granting appointments/postings, this petition can be disposed off by requesting the respondents to consider the case of the petitioner, as he is eligible and issue him an order of appointment / posting.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off. Considering that the respondents have acknowleged the eligibility and the selection of the petitioner, we expect that the respondents would take a decision with promptitude and preferably on or before 30.10.2021 since the academic year
2021-2022 has commenced and the schools are gradually opening in a phased manner.
