The application is filed for condonation of 2959 days delay caused in filing cross objection in the appeal filed by the State against the judgment and Award of Reference Court. Both the sides are heard.

In view of the contents of the application and submissions made, this Court holds that sufficient cause is shown. However, there will be question of making payment of huge interest in respect of the period of 2959 days if the cross objection is allowed. In view of this possibility, the learned counsel for the

-:(2):- original claimant makes a statement that the claimants will not be claiming interest in respect of this period. In view of this statement and the undertaking, following order is make. 3.

The application is allowed. Delay is condoned subject to condition that the claimants will not be entitled to any interest on the amount of compensation, if enhanced, in respect of the period of 2959 days.
