The proposals submitted by the institution seeking verification of the tribe claims of petitioners are returned back on

2 wp 2738.18 various grounds.

It is made clear that for entertaining the proposals, the Committee may not insist for pre-1950 documents. At the time of verifying the tribe claims, the Committee may consider the probative value of the documents prior to 1950. However, it may not refuse to accept the proposals on the ground that pre 1950 documents are not accompanied.

The petitioners shall within a period of one (01) week from today submit the proposals to the Committee complete in all respects personally. The Committee shall not refuse to accept the proposals only on the ground that the petitioners have personally submitted the proposals and it is not routed through the institution. Upon receipt of the proposals, the Committee shall decide the validation proceedings within a period of six (06) months from the date of receipt of proposals. The petitioners shall co-operate in expeditious disposal of the proceedings and shall not seek adjournments.

Till the validation proceedings are decided, the respondent Nos. 3 and 4 shall not take any action against the petitioners only on the ground that validation proceedings are pending. However, if it is brought to the notice of the employer that, petitioners are seeking adjournments and enjoying the protection, the employer

3 wp 2738.18 may take further course of action against the petitioners. The writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
