The petitioner claims that his father was working with respondent Nos. 5 and 6 on the post of Superintendent. He died in harness on 11th May, 2016. The petitioner is seeking appointment on the compassionate basis in his place.

It is stated that the petitioner's mother i.e. wife of the deceased filed an application requesting before respondent Nos. 5 and 6 to grant appointment to the petitioner being son of the deceased. The said application has not been considered and decided. In the circumstances, the petitioner approached this Court by this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India.

Having regard to the fact that the

(3) petitioner's application for grant of compassionate appointment has not been considered and decided, we dispose of the petition, by directing respondent Nos. 3, 4 and 5 to consider and take appropriate decision on the petitioner's application, as expeditiously as possible but not later than three months from the receipt of copy of this order. 4.

With above directions, writ petition stands disposed of.
