PER COURT :- There is no dispute that, there is encroachment along side the national high way. There appears to be some controversy as to which authority i.e. either PWD or the concerned village Panchayat shall take steps for removal of encroachment. The State Government is before the Court. It would be for respondent No.1 to make coordinated efforts, with the help of relevant agency to ensure removal of encroachment. Respondent Nos.1 to 4 are thus directed to ensure that, the encroachment is removed by taking appropriate steps, with the coordinated efforts of the relevant agency/department. Necessary steps shall be taken within a period of four months from today.
