The petitioners have tendered two representations dated 20.2.2023 and 28.2.2023. Within six days, this petition has been filed for seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus. They are placing reliance on the Government Resolution dated 14.3.2023, by which the State Government has constituted a committee to look into such online applications. Presently, their representations are pending with the Zilla Parishad, Latur.

Since advocate Shri Bondar is on the panel of advocates of the Zilla Parishad, Latur, we requested him to cause his appearance in this matter.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off.

Let the Zilla Parishad consider the representations or refer them to the committee constituted in view of the Government Resolution dated 14.3.2023, as may be the position today. In the alternative, the learned advocate for the Petitioners prays for liberty to fill in fresh applications as and when the online portal is available for the academic year 2023-24. The decision on the representations may be arrived at by following the due procedure laid down in law. 5.

We make it clear that if such applications are made, they would be considered in accordance with Rules and policies as applicable. We have not expressed any opinion on the merits of such claims.
