ORAL ORDER :

Mr. Choukidar, learned counsel for applicant submits that the applicant Committee be allowed to spend amount of Rs.14.56 Crores for the purpose of installation of CCTV Surveillance system and upgradation of the existing system. Mr. Talekar, learned counsel states that already the temple is under the CCTV Surveillance and the said system is up to the mark. Mr. Choukidar, the learned counsel states that the said system will be utilised and now the installation of new CCTV Surveillance system is for the purpose of upgradation so also a larger

C.A. No.3503/2015 coverage and for extension of the coverage area also and is meant for more advanced technology.

The Committee has called for the report of experts and as per the report of experts, the committee is proceeding further. The CCTV Surveillance system and upgradation would be necessary keeping in view the security of the premises of the temple.

In light of the above, we permit the applicant to go ahead with the installation of CCTV Surveillance system and upgradation of the existing system. However, the same will have to be done after calling the offers from prospective entrepreneurs. For the said purpose, the applicant shall give public notice in two national newspapers having large circulation throughout the country so also in local newspapers inviting tenders. The applicant shall also resort to the process of e-tendering so as to have the best competitive price. The Committee shall follow due procedure while allotment of the said contract.
