The learned counsel for respondent no. 3 submits that, respondent no. 3 has already forwarded the proposal for acquisition of the land on 13.07.2017. It is for the Special Land Acquisition Officer to initiate the further process.

As it is submitted by respondent no. 3 that the proposal for acquisition is already forwarded, respondent no. 2 and / or the competent authority

2 wp 6312.19 shall take further steps for acquisition and shall start the acquisition proceedings within a period of six (06) months from today. If there is some deficiency in the proposal, respondent no. 3 shall rectify the same within these six (06) months. The acquisition proceedings shall thereafter be completed within the time stipulated under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013.

Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
