The petitioner is claiming the benefits of one step pay scale for working in the tribal area pursuant to the GR dated 14.08.2008 and the subsequent circular dated 09.09.2024.

Without expressing anything on the entitlement of the petitioner to have a benefit under the aforementioned GR and the circular, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent nos.1 to 4 to consider the petitioner's case on its own merits and arrive at some conclusion about his entitlement. The enquiry shall be concluded within eight weeks.
