The applicant/appellants No. 1 and 3 have been convicted for the offences punishable under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for seven (07) years and pay fine of Rs.10,000/- each, in default, to suffer rigorous imprisonment for six months. The applicant Nos. 2, 4
(( 2 )) 913(B)-Cri-Appln-995-2022 to 6 have been convicted for the offence punishable under Section 307 read with 149 of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for seven (07) years and pay fine of Rs.10,000/- each, in default, to suffer rigorous imprisonment for six months. All the applicants have further been convicted for the offence punishable under Section 148 of the Indian Penal Code and sentenced to suffer rigorous imprisonment for one (01) year and pay fine of Rs.1,000/- each, in default to suffer rigorous imprisonment for fifteen days.

The injuries suffered by the victims were simple in nature. It will take time for the appeal to come up for hearing. 4.
In the fitness of things, execution of substantive sentence of imprisonment to stand suspended, pending the appeal. The applicants/appellants be released on their executing P. R. bond in the sum of Rs.15,000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand) each with surety bond each in the like amount.
