The petitioner, who claims to be 26 years of age as on today, is seeking appointment on compassionate ground in place of his deceased father, who is stated to have died on 25.09.2018. 2.

The petition is devoid of any document showing petitioner having ever applied for appointment on compassionate ground. It seems that the applications were filed by his mother on 16.09.2019, seeking the petitioner's appointment. 1/2

When we asked the learned advocate for the petitioner to point out if the petitioner had ever applied he would respond by saying that the petitioner was minor at the time the mother made the application. There is no such pleading in the petition. 4.

When we point out that today he is 26 years of age and, in all probability, he had already completed the age of majority as on the date his father died or when his mother made the application, the learned advocate for the petitioner could not respond. 5.

The petition is dismissed.
