This petition has been filed seeking direction to the respondents police authorities to grant police protection to the petitioner. The petitioner has apprehension of threats to his life at the hands of some persons. Our attention is drawn to number of complaints lodged by him against those persons. Attention also is drawn to the order passed by this court in WP No. 1116/2021 directing the authorities concerned to decide the

(2) petitioner's application for police protection on its own merits. 3.

Learned APP invites our attention to the affidavit-inreply. It is specifically averred that there is no danger to his life. The petitioner claimed himself as National Vice-President of Anti Corruption and Crime Control Committee.

Learned advocate for the petitioner admits that the petitioner possesses a license of Fire Arms since 2017 to April, 2022. It is learnt that nothing happened against the petitioner. As such threat perception is hollow. The petitioner being holder of license of Fire Arm can protect himself.

Our attention is also drawn to number of complaints filed by the petitioner with the concerned police station. 6.

In view of the reasons given in the affidavit-in-reply, we find that no case is made out to grant relief. Therefore, the writ petition stands dismissed.

Needless to mention that the respondent being State authorities are under responsibility to protect the life and liberty of each and every citizen.
