This petition can be disposed of by issuing directions to respondent nos. 2 and 3 or any other officer subordinate to the Collector to take decision on the applications tendered by the petitioner claiming rental compensation on 11.9.2014, 8.12.2014 and 14.9.2005, as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of four months from today and it is accordingly directed.

The petitioner appears to have tendered the applications to the Executive Engineer, Minor Irrigation, and copies are transmitted to the Collector. The petitioner shall tender one more set of applications to the Collector within a period of one week from today. On determination of amount of rental compensation, respondent no.4 acquiring body shall release the amount in accordance with such determination by the Collector as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three months from the date of decision.
