Mr. Munde, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners were appointed on contractual basis after retirement. The petitioners filed an application for grant of benefit of difference of the contractual remuneration as per the Government Resolution dated 15.02.1995. The learned counsel submits that no decision is taken on it as yet.

Mr. Chate, learned counsel for respondent no. 3 submits that the Zill Parishad has sought

2 wp 6057.19 guidance from respondent no. 1 as to whether such appointment can be made. The petitioners have also filed representation to respondent no. 1 on 29.02.2016 to the same effect.

Considering the fact that the claim raised by the petitioners is pending consideration with respondent no. 1 for more than 3 1⁄2 years, we direct respondent no. 1 to take decision upon the representation given by the petitioners (Page No.

17) and the guidance sought by the Zill Parishad (Page No. 16) on its own merits, expeditiously and preferably within a period of four (04) months. 4.

The parties shall take effective steps pursuant to the said decision by respondent no. 1. 5.

Writ Petition accordingly stands disposed of. No costs.
