The petitioner is praying for issuance of directions to the respondent authorities to form a Committee under the guidance of the Tahsildar, Newasa, for regularizing the encroachment made on the Government land and to prepare detailed report along with lay out plan and submit the same to respondent authorities in view of Government Resolution dated 4.4.2002.

Respondent No.8 has presented an affidavit in reply wherein it is stated that a Committee has already been constituted under the Chairmanship of Tehsildar along with Block Development Officer, Town Planning Officer, and Sarpanch of respective Gram Panchayat. Apart from this, the State of Maharashtra has issued a Resolution on 12th July, 2011, prescribing modalities for regularizing encroachment on the Gairan land. Directives - agp/-

BENCH AT AURANGABAD (2) PIL NO.39/2014 have been issued in view of judgment of the Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No.1132/2011, in the matter of Jagpal Sing and others Vs. State of Punjab and others decided on 28th January, 2011.

In the circumstances of this case, this petition can be disposed of by directing the respondents to take appropriate steps in observance of Government Resolution dated 12th July, 2011, as well as the judgment of the Supreme Court, referred to above, expeditiously.

Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of.
